2. FOR-A introduces CEQ-100HS high performance automatic color equalizer at IBC2009

The CEQ-100HS eliminates the need for manual color correction with automatic color calibration and with image recognition technology.

The CEQ-100HS recognizes the colors of a color chart captured by a camera and precisely calibrates it to its internal standard color chart and color bar generator. These calibrations can be stored and recalled to speed studio setup, and an unlimited "undo" feature can fix an incorrect or unfavorable setting that has been saved.

3. New FOR-A frame rate converter, Virtual studio demo support 'IMAGINATION TO CREATION' theme at IBC2009
First shown in the United States at the 2009 NAB Show, the FRC-8000 multi-format frame rate converter is equipped with a new image processing board for HD and SD format conversion. The powerful, feature-rich unit uses FOR-A's vector motion compensation technology to perform integrated up, down, and cross conversion with the highest possible quality. The FRC-8000's mathematical algorithms perform conversion tasks in two steps, first analyzing the pixels comprising each video frame to predict how they will move on screen, followed by conversion based on the number of lines required at output. Other features include one-touch setup, multi-channel audio conversion, and optional two-channel Dolby E encoding and decoding.

FOR-A will also demonstrate VRCAM, a plug-in for its Brainstorm eStudio 3D realtime graphics software package. With VRCAM, a virtual studio can be created without any modifications to existing cameras, lenses, tripods and other parts of an established camera system. Studio operation is simplified because the VRCAM system requires no location data detection sensors or complex calibrations typically required by a traditional virtual studio, when used with the MBP-12CK chroma key option found on FOR-A's MBP-1244 video card.

4. FOR-A to Showcase Expanded 3G Modular System at IBC 2009

New Up/Down/Cross Converter and Video Distribution Amplifier Being Introduced

The UFM-30UDC Up/Down/Cross Converter and UFM30DDA Video Distribution Amplifier are the newest products to be added to the popular UFM-30 Series made by FOR-A. Both will be introduced at the show.

Several enhancements have been made to the series, which now includes seven products. Included within the series are the: new UFM-30UDC and UFM-30DDA, UFM-30FS Modular Frame Synchronizer, UFM-30FSR Modular Frame Synchronizer with by-pass relay, UFM-30FSDA Modular Frame Synchronizer with Audio De-mux and Mux card, UFM-30UDC Up/Down/Cross Converter, UFM-30DCC Modular Digital Color Corrector, and UFM-30DDA Video Distribution Amplifier. The entire line can be controlled by IP network via UFM-30CTL.
