Avid PostDeko for Editors v8.2 Now Available
PostDeko for Editors is an AVX2™ plug-in that provides the full Deko® motion graphic creation environment within Avid Media Composer®, NewsCutter®, or Symphony™ editors.
In Broadcast: PostDeko for Editors lets existing Deko broadcast customers create one set of graphics for use both on-air and in the edit suite. This reduces production time, maintains consistent "look" for both live and pre- or post-production; and allows changes to be managed in the edit suite, cutting down on communication, re-creation, and transfer time.
In Post Production: PostDeko for Editors brings the advantages of core Deko creation tools to post production artists. Deko tools provide easy-to-use high quality motion graphics making it a good fit for packages traditionally created in post facilities.
PostDeko for Editors v8.2
Version 8.2 enhances the real-time playback of Deko effects from the Avid editor and provides support for Deko version 5.2 capabilities.
- Deko effects are now "Green Dot" status on the Avid editor timeline, allowing Editors to insert graphics and animations to the edit timeline and view a real-time preview of the assets without having to render the full timeline*.
- Deko-signature effects created in the online Deko system, including new Glow and Glint Motion Behaviors, can be easily shared with PostDeko for Editors in the edit suite.
